The film stars Arshad Warsi and Jackky Bhagnani as pivotal leads. Music directors Jeet Ganguly and Rochak Kohli, has composed music for this film. It is the remake of Hollywood blockbuster film Dumb and Dumber of Jim Carrey & Jeff Daniels.The movie released on May 28 , 2015.
Shammi (Arshad Warsi) and Kedar Patel (Jackky Bhagnani) are like Lloyd and Dunne of Dumb and Dumber. On a drunk night, Shammi suggests that he and Kedar leave for America on a cruise, even though they laugh it off in that instance, in a freak accident by the sea, Kedar and Shammi who are supposed to manage a wedding baraat on a cruise, leave without the baraatis only to lose their direction and land up in Karachi, Pakistan.What happens out there is a series of misunderstanding, miscommunication and everything else that leads to the two boys landing up in messy situations. Do Shammi and Kedar find their way out of Karachi and come back safely to Mumbai.Watch out film for this.
Lauren Gottlieb played the role of a Pakistani ISI agent.The role of Jackky Bhagnani was first offered to Irrfan Khan but due to other commitments Khan left the film.Some of the popular songs of Welcome 2 Karachi are Lalla Lalla Lori,Boat Ma Kukdookoo & Shakira (song).
